Tara Bingham

Tara Bingham has been playing the flute since her early teens. She comes from a musical family from Comber, Co. Down. Her father Leslie plays flute; her brother Terry (living in Doolin, Co. Clare) plays concertina and accordion. Tara is married to fiddle player Dermy Diamond and currently lives in Dublin with their two children who are also musicians - Danny plays fiddle and Helen plays fiddle and sings. Tara has taught for 25years at the Willie Clancy Summer School, also in various workshops in USA, Europe and Japan. This will be Tara’s 15th year teaching at the Scoil Gheimhridh Frankie Kennedy. Tara along with her husband Dermy and fellow musician Daithi Sproule will launch their new CD at the Official Opening of Scoil Gheimhridh Frankie Kennedy 2008.
